Brewing Basics

How to Brew a Perfect Cup

A few simple steps are all it takes to get the most from any herbal infusion.

Use Good Water

Fresh, filtered water makes a noticeable difference. Avoid re-boiling water — it changes the taste of delicate botanicals.

Mind the Temperature

Delicate floral herbs like chamomile and lavender prefer water around 85°C. Roots and spices can handle a full 95–100°C.

Steep with Intention

Most herbs infuse well in 4–8 minutes. Longer steeping brings more depth, but very delicate leaves may turn bitter.

Taste & Adjust

Every palate is different. Add honey, lemon, or a little more herb until the cup feels exactly right for you.
